Role and Responsibilities - Business Development Manager - Service
As part of our Sales & Estimating Department, you will drive sales growth and manage key accounts related to our Service & Maintenance operations. You should have a strong understanding of maintaining fixed fire protection and detection systems according to national and international standards, along with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Manage key accounts and build strong relationships with customers.
* Survey and gather asset information to support estimates.
* Coordinate with the service and maintenance teams regularly.
* Review tender documents, drawings, standards, and client requirements.
* Create detailed proposals with deliverables.
* Follow up on quotations, negotiate, and analyze KPIs and lessons learned.
* Participate in internal and client meetings.
* Engage professionally with clients via email, phone, or site visits to enhance satisfaction and sales opportunities.
* Lead handover meetings upon project award.
* Handle group company inquiries and accounts.
Essential Skills
* Proven experience with fire sprinkler/detection systems, reading construction drawings, P&ID's, and technical specifications.
* Experience in developing fire protection and detection maintenance proposals.
* Knowledge of standards like BSEN12845, BS9251, BS5306, BS9990, BS 5839, and BSEN 15004.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines amid changing priorities.
* Exceptional attention to detail and efficiency.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Friendly, outgoing personality capable of engaging with clients professionally.
* Strong commercial awareness and numerical skills.
* Willingness to learn and develop.
Working hours are 9am–5pm Monday-Thursday, 9am–4pm Friday, mainly office-based with national travel as needed.
