Job purpose
Personal Assistant Role – Clifton
We are seeking a reliable, friendly and organised Personal Assistant (PA) to provide personal and administrative support to a young woman in her mid-30s, based in Clifton.
The role will be predominantly home-based at her residence, though some administrative tasks may, by agreement, be completed remotely from the PA’s own home.
Our client is a creative and nature-loving individual who enjoys arts and crafts, particularly painting and flower drying, and who shares her home with four much-loved ragdoll cats.
Hours
If a single PA: 16 – 23.5 hours per week.
If 2 PAs: 8-12 hours per week.
£15/hour minimum during weekdays and £20/hour at weekends, possibly more depending on experience and qualifications and satisfactory probationary period.
Some flexibility regarding both hours per week (less on some weeks, more on others, depending on the needs at the time) and timing is very desirable, including preparedness to work very occasionally at weekends.
We are open to employing either one full-time PA or two part-time PAs, depending on applicants’ skills, preferences, and availability. If two PAs are appointed, their responsibilities may be divided broadly as follows:
* Household-focused PA – supporting with household organisation, day-to-day tasks, and personal assistance.
* Administration-focused PA – assisting with paperwork, scheduling, correspondence, and other administrative responsibilities.
(Please note that if two PAs are employed, they would generally work separately rather than at the same time).
Key responsibilities
* Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry and emptying of bins
* Communication with surgery and pharmacy and occasional collection of medications
* Receiving medical deliveries and their storage
* Assistance occasionally with non-strenuous aspects of personal care
* Organising personal affairs, including the reminding and keeping of appointments
* Assistance with correspondence (hard copy and digital) and other documentation, including filing
* Dealing with property maintenance matters and liaison with management company
* Organising personal property, including sale, return or disposal of some items
* Occasional support with shopping and posting items
* Occasional care of cats
* Occasional general care of garden
* Providing companionship
* Encouragement to access local community and attend social events

* Prepared to work more or less than the usual hours per week depending on needs at the time
* Prepared to work occasionally at weekends
* Prepared to push a wheelchair occasionally
* More than the essential educational achievement; basic IT competence
* Experience in similar or related role
* Current valid driving license and having a car available for work on occasions
