Part of Norfolk County Council, the Client Hardship Service provides financial hardship support for people across the county, and this is a great opportunity to be part of a team that works with vulnerable people in our society and has a positive impact on our communities.
We provide money management, holistic support and reused household items for people to become financially independent. The role itself will involve speaking with people on the phone and occasional visits at their home address (applicant is required to have a full driving license) collating information and processing requests to the Client Hardship Service. We work to timelines and deadlines, so we're looking for people who thrive working under pressure, who can assess information from multiple sources, provide information and guidance, provide ongoing referrals to both support and grant providers, make decisions and who are motivated to make a difference. We consider people from a range of different backgrounds especially those with experience of multi agency working with knowledge of money management, debt support, providing information and guidance re holistic support, grant organisations and/or working with vulnerable people would be highly beneficial. You'll need solid communication and administration skills, confidence in dealing with members of the public, and strong computer skills.
