About this role We are seeking a Financial Analyst, reporting to the Operations Director, to provide financial support to a residential team sourcing sites, delivering complex residential projects, letting, and managing them on completion for our internal client, Royal London Asset Management. You will design financial models, reports, and scenario plans to support forecasting, investment planning, and strategy. You will collaborate with stakeholders to clarify, challenge assumptions, shape financial insights, and contribute to our growth story. What you will do In the position of Financial Analyst, your primary duties will encompass the following: Leading in-depth financial analysis and business performance reviews to support strategic decision-making. Developing and maintaining robust financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. Managing and developing Anaplan alongside the RLAM analysts Research and collection of financial data to support underwriting and recommendation reports we provide to RLAM on project acquisitions and development Preparing monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports with clear financial insights and commentary. Monitoring KPIs and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Collaborating with RLAM, RLAM portfolio manager as well as operational teams to deliver unified financial plans and targets. In addition, you will be responsible for: Supporting investment appraisals, pricing strategy, and capital allocation decisions. Performing market and industry research to help evaluate strategic options and market conditions. Supporting system implementations and digital transformation initiatives within finance. Assisting with period-end close, audit queries, and financial controls as needed. Supporting new property acquisitions, and developments with robust financial due diligence, modelling, and scenario analysis. Preparing and reviewing business cases for strategic initiatives such as expansion, investment, or operational change. Driving process improvement in management reporting, planning systems, and financial governance, including automation and dashboard development. Championing data quality and integrity to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely financial inputs across reporting systems. About you - your experience, knowledge, and skills. Ideally you will be or have: Preferably a degree in finance, statistics, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Or a degree with membership of a recognised professional body (desirable). Experience in property, real estate, or asset management finance (highly beneficial). Advanced Excel skills and expertise in financial modelling. Experience using Power BI or other data visualisation tools. A sound grasp of financial controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex financial insights to non-finance audiences clearly and effectively. Accountancy experience would be added advantage.
