The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically skilled Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role is ideal for someone who is either newly qualified or nearing completion of their professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and eager to apply their technical knowledge in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysis, leveraging tools like Excel (including VBA) and Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities
* Perform in-depth analysis of financial performance, including revenue, cost, margin, and profitability trends.
* Identify key drivers of performance and recommend improvements.
* Support month-end reporting cycles with variance analysis and commentary.
* Prepare board packs and business updates as required.
* Support the team with ad hoc projects and continual process improvements.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting, including annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and evaluate business risks and opportunities.
* Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, automating reporting processes to enhance data accessibility.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
* Present findings and recommendations to senior management clearly and effectively.
Candidate Profile
If you are a Finalist-level candidate (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong academic background in finance, accounting, or economics, and have experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles, this role could be a perfect fit. You should have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills are essential, along with the ability to independently manage projects in a time-pressured environment.
