The Dorset Healthcare Community-based Dermatology Service provides assessment, diagnostic, and treatment services across various community locations in Dorset. We are seeking to recruit a GPwER or a GP with a Special Interest in Dermatology to cover at least one session per week.
Outpatient Assessment Medical sessions are paid at £222.00 per session, and Minor Ops Surgical sessions at £370.00 per session.
While primarily a GPwER service, we welcome applicants with experience in secondary care dermatology as we aim to strengthen our relationships with acute partners to enhance patient pathways.
The role involves providing safe, high-quality care within the community setting. The clinician should be confident working independently and as part of a team with other clinicians and administrative staff. The position requires the ability to manage medical cases and perform minor surgeries related to dermatology.
A Healthcare Assistant will assist during each clinic.
Our goal is to deliver a high-quality dermatology service in the community, improve patient choice, reduce waiting times, enhance primary care education, and decrease inappropriate secondary care referrals.
Applicants must hold a Diploma in Dermatology and have experience running dermatology clinics beyond general practice. Support for mentorship with a secondary care consultant will be provided, and flexibility is required to facilitate this.
