SEN Teacher – Autism & Communication Needs
Location: Sunderland
Start: ASAP or after half-term
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £140 to £220 per day (PAYE)

What you’ll be doing:
1. Teaching a class of KS3/KS4 pupils with autism and communication needs
2. Using structure, visuals, and purposeful routines to support understanding
3. Working closely with TAs, therapists, and senior staff
4. Creating a safe, predictable, and uplifting classroom environment
5. Celebrating the small wins that feel huge
What we’re looking for:
6. QTS or QTLS
7. Experience within SEND, or a real passion for it
8. A gentle, patient teaching style
9. Confidence adapting work to different communication levels

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
