As an integral part of our organisation, the ADHD Clinician (non-medical prescriber) will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating, and monitoring treatment plans. You will possess a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting, providing essential services to individuals seeking support for ADHD.

Job Summary:
The Clinical Lead role involves leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to high-quality care. You will lead and support clinicians, ensure effective team functioning, safe care delivery, and excellent patient experience.
You will role model organisational values and demonstrate your clinical skills as an ADHD Practitioner. This includes being an independent/supplementary prescriber supporting patients through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adults and/or children.
You will demonstrate excellent knowledge of ADHD clinical delivery, support staff with complex cases, and have expertise in at least one clinical area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support the clinical team, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards, including 1:1 supervision, assessments, and audits.
* Conduct regular case discussions, share knowledge, and address challenges.
* Induct and coach new staff, supporting their probation and ongoing development.
* Manage mental health risk and safeguarding concerns, providing advice and ensuring legal compliance.
* Act as the point of contact for clinical issues in the absence of the Team Manager.
* Address performance issues and support improvement plans.
* Lead incident reviews and clinical investigations, providing recommendations for learning.
* Deliver team training sessions based on incident reports, clinical themes, and ongoing learning.
* Communicate complex information effectively to patients, families, and colleagues.
* Undertake clinical supervision, assessments, and follow-ups for your team.
* Maintain professional development and support the Team Manager when needed.
In addition to your Clinical Lead duties, you will meet the ADHD Practitioner role requirements, including:
* Assessing and diagnosing ADHD in adults and children, considering co-occurring conditions.
* Practising as a non-medical prescriber, developing treatment plans, and conducting follow-ups.
* Performing risk assessments and safeguarding reviews.
* Ensuring prescriptions comply with legal standards and maintaining accurate records.
* Reporting incidents and near misses to promote safety and learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified nurse, with UK registration and PIN with NMC, GPhC registration, or GMC registration (no practice restrictions).
* Qualified Medical or Non-medical Prescriber (NMP) with current registration.
* Experience as a Specialist ADHD Nurse or Pharmacist (desirable).
* Ability to work independently within professional standards.
* Expertise in pharmaceutical treatments for ADHD (desirable).
* Experience managing staff, organisational change, and clinical governance.
* Ability to connect with children and/or adults supportively.
* Familiarity with EPR systems.
* Strong communication, IT skills, and ability to work remotely with virtual assessments.
* Teamwork and professional conduct aligned with regulatory expectations.
* Excellent time management and workload management skills.
