We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Community Resource Team, delivering short term assessment services to adults in the Bridgend County Borough.
Role Overview
As an Occupational Therapist on the Community Resource Team, you will provide OT input to the Support at Home programme, enabling home care services for people living with dementia or a cognitive impairment. You will work alongside Social Care Workers to guide and support them in delivering short‑term interventions within clients’ homes, promoting independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Occupational Therapy input to Support at Home, enabling home care services.
* Offer professional guidance to the Social Care Workers team.
* Deliver evidence‑based, short‑term OT interventions to promote independence and quality of life.
* Maintain a defined caseload and manage both clinical and non‑clinical tasks to ensure effective workload management.
* Plan and manage time efficiently, responding flexibly to the needs of the service.
* Work with people with a wide range of disabilities, their carers and families.
Qualifications and Experience
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Ability to conduct a basic conversation in Welsh.
* Enhanced with Adults Barred List criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
* Occupational Therapist qualification and relevant professional experience (implicit).
