Role Scope
The Network Lead will support delivery of this new programme and take a leading role in the Communicate, Co‑ordinate, Collaborate workstream. Responsibilities include managing network member communications, planning and delivering support, and helping members access partnership and funding opportunities.
About You
We are looking for an organised, efficient self‑starter with excellent communication skills who can work with diverse stakeholders to secure and activate new spaces for creative and cultural activities in Swindon. A natural networker, team player, and self‑starter with experience in community development, property management or supporting social enterprises and start‑ups is preferred.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Programme Director, Programme Manager and key stakeholders including Swindon Borough Council and local cultural organisations to day‑to‑day manage the Magic Swindon Network.
Communicate
* Act as the first contact point for network members, helping them maximise membership benefits.
* Oversee member communications: website updates, e‑newsletters, social media, and face‑to‑face, email and telephone contact.
* Maintain an up‑to‑date membership list compliant with GDPR and other regulations.
* Support network development to increase inclusion and participation of diverse local communities.
Co‑ordinate
* Lead the planning and delivery of network support.
* Organise and manage regular network meetings and an annual conference, ensuring content meets member needs.
* Arrange high‑quality training and professional development opportunities in areas such as inclusive programming, co‑creation and environmental sustainability.
* Assist with budget management for the workstream in partnership with the Project Director.
* Facilitate connections between members to support collaboration and communication.
* Help members access partnership opportunities and navigate Place Partnership funding.
Relationships
* Participate in Strategic Steering Group meetings, supporting the Chair with documents, reports and action notes.
* Collaborate closely with the Programme Manager, Meanwhile Space Development Officer, Communications & Marketing Manager and workstream Delivery Group chairs.
* Build relationships with creative, cultural and community organisations, social enterprises, local businesses and wider networks; attend or organise networking and information events.
Other Duties
* Maintain communication, report progress and store documents using agreed project management tools such as Google Drive.
* Attend meetings including monthly board meetings, team/working‑group meetings and line‑management or pastoral support meetings.
Key tasks and accountabilities are intended to be a guide to the range of work expected of the post holder. This is not an exhaustive list, and employees will be expected to carry out any other reasonable duties required from time to time.
