1.Managethestatutorytestingforalllocalauthoritybuildingstoensureallnecessarysurveysareundertakenattherequiredintervals.
2.Manageanyworkthatcomesfromthestatutorysurveyreports.
3.ToundertakeasbestosmanagementinbuildingsandensurethattheAuthoritydoesnotbreachregulationsorexposeofficersorthepublictoriskforasbestos.
4.WorkwithcolleaguesintheauthoritytomanagecomplianceofbuildingswithcontractualtermsofTenancyagreements,andreportbreachestoseniormanagementforfollow-upaction.
5.ImplementtheDivisionsresponsibilitiesforHealth&Safety.
6.Adheringtocurrentasbestosregulations,legislation,specifications,BritishStandards,CodesofpracticeandCDMRegulations.
7.ToactasClerkofWorksforconstructionprojectsofrangingcomplexities.
8.Liaisedirectlywithofficers,seniormanagement,buildingoccupants&thepublicinrelationtositesafetyissues,constructiondefectsandtoensurethatbuildingsaredesignedtobeconstructed,operated,maintainedanddemolishedsafely.
9.Undertakemanagement&administrationofminorworksprojectsandtoassistinBuildingSurveyingduties.
10.LiaisedirectlywithContractors,subcontractors&HSEinrelationtoAsbestosissues.
11.Attendanceatmeetingswithclients,seniormanagement,externalagencies,consultantsandcontractors.
12.MaintainContinualProfessionalDevelopmenttokeepawareofrevisedlegislation,newbuildingproductsetc.
13.Motivate,encouragethedevelopmentofstaff.
14.AssistinthepreparationofDepartmental&CorporatePlansandPolicies.
15.Undertakeanyotherdutiesthatmayberequired.
