HR Advisor 12 Month FTC – Employee Relations Focus
£40,000 – £46,000 + bonus + benefits
Milton Keynes + multi‑site travel (3-4 days on-site per week)
12 month fixed term contract available an experienced HR Advisor with a strong background in ER.
This role focuses heavily on employee relations and will support a cluster of operational, blue‑collar sites through a period of organisational change. It’s ideal for someone confident managing a busy ER caseload within a unionised, multi‑site environment.
The ideal hire will live within easy reach of both Milton Keynes and the Midlands. You’ll work from the Milton Keynes office 1-2 days per week and travel to Midlands based sites twice per week (mileage paid). The remaining time can be worked from home.
The Role
1. Provide day to day HR support to managers
2. Manage a high‑volume ER caseload (absence, grievances, disciplinaries, performance)
3. Support the HRBP with more complex casework
4. Build strong and credible relationships with operational leaders
5. Support HR projects, reporting and training initiatives
6. Travel to Midlands sites twice weekly
7. Attend the Milton Keynes office 1-2 days per week
8. Work from home on remaining days
What You’ll Need
9. Strong employee relations experience
10. Background in blue‑collar / operational environments
11. Union experience (essential)
12. Ability to work at pace and manage multiple cases
13. Confident communicator, able to influence managers at all levels
14. CIPD Level 5 desirable
15. Full UK driving licence
16. Comfortable with regular travel across the Midlands
This is a full time role, but applicants seeking 4 days per week are also welcome.
