Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated IT Support professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring that all IT systems operate efficiently. This role requires a strong foundation in computer networking, desktop support, and various operating systems, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.
Duties
* Provide technical support for hardware and software issues across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
* Troubleshoot and resolve desktop support issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
* Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
* Assist with VPN configurations and firewall settings to ensure secure remote access.
* Conduct analysis of network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN technologies.
* Maintain documentation of IT processes and user requests using tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
* Collaborate with team members on projects involving SCCM for software deployment and updates.
* Offer guidance on the use of Microsoft Office applications and other software tools.
* Respond to help desk tickets promptly while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in IT support or technical support roles.
* Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and desktop support practices.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory management.
* Proficient in troubleshooting software issues across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
* Experience with VPN technologies, firewalls, TCP protocols, and network configurations.
* Knowledge of analysis skills related to network performance monitoring.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Familiarity with help desk software such as Jira or ServiceNow is advantageous.

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
