Site Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to oversee various aspects of construction site management. The key responsibilities include:
1. Establishing site controls for all project setting out activities.
2. Completing level and positional checks for sub-contractor installations.
3. Reading, reviewing, and interpreting reinforcement drawings to verify installations.
4. Engaging with sub-contractor engineers to review and challenge their installation work where appropriate.
5. Raising NCRs with the Project Manager / Quality Manager as needed.
6. Updating and monitoring the works programme, reporting any potential delays to the Project Manager.
7. Coordinating and attending meetings with design staff and subcontractors.
8. Participating in 'last planner' programme meetings and daily activity briefings with the construction team.
9. Managing the QVF file and ensuring compliance of work inspection records.
10. Undertaking as-built surveys and producing record drawings.
11. Monitoring supply chain setting out for compliance.
12. Checking installed works against specifications for compliance.
13. Proven experience in setting out.
14. Experience managing façade, ground works, landscape, and fit-out contractors for spatial setting out and quality control.
15. Competency with setting out equipment such as GPS, Total Station, laser level, and auto level.
16. Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
17. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
18. Excellent communication skills.
