About Langdon House Care Home
Langdon House is an exceptional residential care home in Cambridge. We pride ourselves on our family‑feel, attractive gardens and providing outstanding care to each of our residents. We’re based in a quiet nook in Chesterton on the north eastern side of Cambridge, three miles from the city centre. Our home offers fantastic 24‑hour care to up to 51 residents.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key part with care delivery in the home. Our Team Leader supports us to ensure the highest standards of care are achieved in all areas of the home. Development from this role can take you onto CHAPS or nursing positions, and we offer fully funded apprenticeships to help you achieve an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to the care team whilst on duty.
* Assist, motivate and inspire passion into the care team to deliver exceptional outcomes in care.
* Manage supervision, appraisal and performance management of the care team. Celebrate every individual and help the team achieve their potential.
* Carry out enhanced clinical care duties; clinical observations of blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, temperature and blood oxygenation level and monitor urine output.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
* A passion for care – a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of residents first.
* Experience in a similar senior care position.
* Ahold an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
* Effective communication skills.
* A proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting and motivating a team.
Salary
Days – £14.20 per hour.
Nights – £15.30 per hour.
Shift Pattern
44 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
Location
20 Union Lane, Chesterton, Cambridge, CB4 1QB – 3 miles from the city centre.
