Are you a physiotherapist with an interest or experience in pelvic health? Have you completed B5 rotations through a range of specialities including MSK? After establishing a Perinatal Pelvic Health Service in 2022 at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, we are looking to expand our Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team to meet growing demands. This post will be based at Frimley Park Hospital, with the possibility of community clinics within the local area. Ideally the hours would be condensed over 4 days.
Main Duties
* Provide an effective, high quality physiotherapy service to outpatients in the specialty of Pelvic Health.
* Undertake specialist physiotherapeutic assessment, clinical diagnosis, and treatment of patients with Pelvic Health problems, including complex and chronic presentations.
* Supervise and teach recently qualified physiotherapists, technicians, assistants and students; take part in teaching multidisciplinary team staff.
* Participate in CPD and other departmental activities.
* Work with a growing team of experienced physiotherapists and assistant practitioners who provide an evidence‑based service; support advanced practice physiotherapists with expert advice and training.
* Provide opportunities to supervise other staff and take on students.
* Manage a caseload that includes 1:1 appointments and virtual and in‑person patient groups, to alleviate pelvic floor dysfunction such as incontinence, prolapse, vulval pain and obstetric perineal tears.
Person Specification
* Qualifications: Essential – BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy; evidence of recent and relevant clinical study; HCPC registration. Desirable – membership of POGP; evidence of managerial training.
* Skills: Essential – experience of supervising/appraising staff; ability to present information to a group; strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication; organisational skills. Desirable – ability to work independently and in groups.
* Experience: Essential – completion of B5 NHS rotations including MSK; training and supervision to support all physiotherapy staff and students; multidisciplinary working. Desirable – experience of pelvic health physiotherapy at B5 or B6 level; experience of research and audit.
