Job Summary – Registered Manager (Children’s Residential Home) The Registered Manager is responsible for the full operational leadership and management of a children’s residential home, ensuring high-quality care in line with each child’s care plan, company policies, and regulatory standards. This senior management role demands professionalism, leadership, and strategic oversight to ensure the welfare and development of young people with complex needs, including mental health and learning difficulties. Key Responsibilities: * Lead, supervise, and manage all home staff including Deputies, Team Leaders, and Support Workers. * Ensure high standards of care, safety, and compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements. * Oversee care planning, risk assessments, progress reviews, and referrals. * Monitor and improve the home's performance via quality assurance systems and stakeholder feedback. * Maintain effective communication with external agencies and local authorities. * Be on-call as required and ensure effective rota and resource planning. * Provide staff training and professional development. * Promote safeguarding, diversity, and the emotional well-being of residents. Requirements: * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in the relevant care environment (essential). * Experience managing residential care for children with complex needs. * Strong leadership, communication, and IT skills. * A commitment to continuous improvement, safeguarding, and person-centered care. Cove Care Services provides outstanding 52-week residential care placements for young people between the ages of 10 and 25, who present with highly complex and challenging needs in terms of the emotional, psychological and developmental wellbeing. We have a particular interest in those young people who have acute, or severe and enduring mental health and social care needs in combination. The Registered Manager will play a key role in Cove within the regulatory framework and in ensuring high quality service delivery according to our vision and business plan. The Registered Manager will be responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of one of our homes including the management of care staff. The Registered Manager will be accountable directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with the company secretary and Standards Manager and be supported by the Deputy Manager and Support Workers
