Support Workers - Early Action - Children's Social Work - Shetland Family Centre
The main purpose of the Early Action Support Worker is to identify families that need support at the earliest opportunity to build their strengths and help them overcome issues. The service is developing a model of practice involving a 'Whole Family' approach, utilising motivational conversation skills and measuring progress.
The role aims to support families in building capacity, resilience, and independence so they can have the best start or overcome issues before requiring specialist or statutory services.

Additional Information
* The grade of this post is H.
* The salary includes a Distant Islands Allowance of £2,859 per annum (pro rata).
* Three temporary full-time posts, 37 hours per week, 52.18 weeks per year.
* Temporary contracts for approximately 22 months, with the possibility of extension depending on funding.
* Preferred candidates will need to join or update their membership in the PVG Scheme before employment.
* No relocation package is available.
* Interview expenses will be paid from within Shetland.
* You must be able to travel throughout Shetland at short notice, especially where public transport is limited.
* We are open to flexible working arrangements.
