Role Details As a software engineer you will be working to develop and support our modelling and analytics platform. You will be responsible for adding new features and functionality to the platform, and as a data specialist you will focus on the usability and performance of our data schemas and data visualizations. You will have a strong interest in data technologies and UX, and constantly look to improve the platform through new technologies, tools and processes. You will enjoy collaborating closely with the product design and customer facing teams on our mission to help our customers to tackle climate change. Essential skills 3 years of professional software engineering experience with expertise in React.js and its core principles. A solid grasp of UX/UI design principles and a dedication to building intuitive user interfaces. Experience with enterprise computing, data integrations, and related technologies such as SQL and ETL tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into high-quality features, contribute to code reviews to uphold code standards, and communicate technical decisions clearly and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment. Desired Skills Exposure to visualizations for Geospatial or complex Scientific data-sets. Experience with Python is highly desirable for data handling and scripting. Proficiency with TypeScript. Exposure to Plotly Dash Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
