Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Prestwich. Committed to inclusion and pupil development, the school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their supportive team from September.
The Role
As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the curriculum. Working closely with class teachers, you will deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups, contribute to lesson planning, and help create an engaging, inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of engaging, purposeful lessons
* Deliver focused one-to-one and small-group interventions
* Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment
* Provide pastoral support and encourage pupils’ emotional wellbeing
* Prepare learning resources and track pupil progress
* Lead targeted interventions for pupils with additional needs
* Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds a HLTA qualification or has significant experience in a similar role
* Passionate about supporting children’s academic and personal development
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues
* Good understanding of safeguarding, child development, and support strategies
