Senior Procurement Officer – Programme Name: LCST. Location: Bristol, UK.
Are you ready for your next career challenge? Leidos is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer within the newly established Leidos Europe subsidiary, Leidos Supply Ltd, part of the Commodity Support Services (CSS) team within Team Leidos. The role provides commercial support and advice to team members and other stakeholders through the letting and management of contracts, ensuring professional standards are maintained for all commercial work and delivering cost-effective procurement to meet Team Leidos requirements.
The Senior Procurement Officer may operate within any of the main Commodity teams (Clothing; Food; Medical Equipment and Consumables; Oils, Lubricants and Gases; General Supplies).
Responsibilities
* Ensure all commercial activity within your area of responsibility is performed to the highest standards, conforms to EU Procurement Regulations and Leidos Policies and Procedures, and is monitored for continuous improvement to obtain best value for money.
* Proactively participate in the development and implementation of Category Strategies to satisfy LSL requirements.
* Draft and issue ITTs/ITNs, contracts, and manage the procurement process up to and beyond contract award.
* Negotiate contract terms, conditions and prices within delegated powers to deliver against the Benefits Realisation Plan.
* Undertake contract/team administration as required.
* Maintain professional standards and provide commercial support and advice to staff, stakeholders and customers.
* Effectively manage contracts by building strong working relationships with contractors, customers and colleagues as necessary.
* Assist in setting targets and objectives for LSL and monitor achievement against these.
* Ensure Commercial MI is accurate, up to date and submitted on time.
* Contribute to the development of LSL tools, processes and procedures to support Team Leidos Transformation.
* Maintain Continuing Professional and Personal Development to stay current with EU and Commercial Procurement practices and regulations.
* Mentor junior staff within LSL to support their development.
* Trained in, and aware of, Good Distribution Practice (GDP) obligations and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
* Skills Required: Strong business/procurement/contracting experience; good written and verbal communication; ability to work as part of a team; numerate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Skills Desired: CIPS Level 4 or above, public sector contracting knowledge and experience (including application of EU Regulations); knowledge of MoD procurement processes; experience with e-procurement tools; Full Driving License (desirable for supplier visits).
* Clearance Requirements: BPSS Pre-screening required to start.

* Pay range: £32,600 – £38,400.
