London, The Harley Street Clinic and The Princess Grace Hospital
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday, rota between 8am and 8pm, with the option to move to a four‑day working pattern
Permanent contract
Salary: £29,000 per year
We’re looking for a Radiology Department Assistant to join our Imaging team across The Harley Street Clinic and The Princess Grace Hospital in London. This is a patient‑facing role within a supportive, close‑knit team, working across modern imaging environments that cover ultrasound, breast imaging, MSK and specialist procedures. We know that work needs to fit around life, which is why this role starts as a five‑day pattern and offers the opportunity to move to a four‑day working week once established, giving you greater balance without compromising continuity of care.
As a Radiology Department Assistant in Imaging, you’ll be part of a team that keeps imaging services running smoothly and safely every day. You’ll work closely with radiographers, nurses and consultants, supporting patients throughout their imaging journey and helping to create a calm, organised environment. Your time will be split across different imaging areas and sites, allowing you to build broad clinical experience while being supported by experienced colleagues.
At HCA UK we care about what you care about. We care that you want to deliver the very best care. We care that you want a career you can be proud of. We care that you want working conditions that support your health and wellbeing. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.
What you’ll do:
1. Support radiographers and clinicians by preparing patients, rooms and equipment for imaging procedures
2. Organise and support ultrasound workflows, including chaperoning, documentation and charging processes
3. Escort patients safely within the department and between clinical areas
4. Maintain a clean, well‑stocked and safe imaging environment
5. Support departmental administration, including image transfers and data handling in line with GDPR
What you’ll bring:
6. UK hospital experience within a clinical environment
7. A Care Certificate or equivalent
8. Confidence working directly with patients and the public
9. Strong communication and organisational skills
10. The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
