Head of English – Immediate Start

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of English to join a thriving secondary school in Bournemouth for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious English specialist with strong leadership skills to make a significant impact within a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the English department, driving attainment and progress across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable), and supporting the continued development of high-quality teaching and learning.
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have previous experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
* Demonstrate leadership experience or the ability to lead a department effectively
* Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be passionate about raising standards and student achievement
* Be available for an immediate start
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* Two professional references covering the last two years
* Right to work in the UK
