Electrical Engineer – 5 -Crew

Irvine Plant

Role description

To carry out electrical repair and maintenance work on factory equipment and services to maintain efficient operations of the plant.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance of glass bottle forming machines and all plant equipment and services.
2. Performing reactive/planned preventative maintenance (PM)Identify and repair electrical faults with factory equipment and services.
3. Small electrical installations, electrical modification projects.

Required skills / qualifications:

4. Must have gained a recognised Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
5. Educated to HNC/HND level.
6. Good fault-finding and analytical skills.
7. Knowledge of PLC’s and Inverter drives.
8. Ability to understand technical drawings.
9. Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team under pressure.
10. Good team ethic.
11. Commitment and enthusiasm to support a 24-hour process.
12. Excellent engineering skills and initiative.
13. Computer literate with good oral and written communication skills.
14. Have a good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
15. Have an awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations.

What we offer:

16. Salary Minimum £42,555 –£50,219 Maximum
17. Salary sacrifice pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
18. Normal shift pattern is determined by the 5-crew shift rota, however, typically consists of a two 12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts and then a six-day rest period which includes 21 shifts when working the 5 crew 12-hour shift rota / Holidays are built into the shift 5 crew rota
