Job Overview
We are looking for experienced, driven, enthusiastic Security professionals with the desire to learn. This role would suit an applicant with a desire to progress in the ever-evolving security industry by gaining exposure & experience across a variety of prestigious client base, including Government contracts.
To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.
Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
Main Duties
Operations
* To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
* Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
* Proactively review the published AI's, familiarize yourself with any changes, and suggest amendments to improve service.
* Ensure compliance with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. A CCTV PSS SIA Licence is also required.
* Follow instructions and procedures appropriately, without unnecessarily challenging authority.
* Work systematically, methodically, and in an orderly way.
Security and Health & Safety
* Report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site immediately.
* Stay alert to threats or changes within the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.
* Use common sense and initiative to involve others if a situation becomes threatening.
* Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and challenging customers.
* Complete detailed incident reports promptly after any incident.
* Maintain schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
* Ensure check calls are carried out as stipulated in the AI's.
* Report incidents to emergency services and Communication Centre.
Requirements
* Previous Security Experience
* SIA License
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Supportive attitude towards client needs
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law, and Police and Criminal Evidence Act
Additional Information
Uniform and PPE are provided. A DBS check and social media check may be undertaken. All necessary training will be provided.
