 
        
        Lead Naval Integrated Logistics Support Engineer
The role of Lead Naval Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer, GE Vernova Power Conversion UK, is an exceptional opportunity for your capabilities, enthusiasm and experience to make a real impact at one of the leading energy technology companies working on major, global projects. The Lead Naval ILS Engineer will be responsible for leading and performing a wide range of ILS activities throughout the full lifecycle of a major UK project with opportunities to support other global Naval projects. You will have the opportunity to work from project concept through to design, manufacture, commissioning and into service.
Responsibilities
 * Coordinating ILS aspects across projects to ensure a consistency of approach across the business.
 * Capturing and analysis of ILS requirements.
 * Utilise ILS tools to influence the design and support the development of the business’s use of ILS tools.
 * Supporting project teams and suppliers by providing direction, guidance and mentoring to produce customer ILS deliverables, including ILS Plans, Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (AR&M), FMEA and FMECA, Maintenance Plans & Job Cards, Logistic Information Management and Technical Data, Recommended Spares and Special Tools and Test Equipment (ST&TE), Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T), Disposal Planning and Obsolescence Management.
 * Supporting other ILS activities such as Training Needs Analysis development and the development of technical publications with their associated ILS deliverables.
 * Working with the wider engineering team in support of Safety Hazard Identification and Safety and Risk Management.
Qualifications and Requirements
 * Minimum of a degree or equivalent qualification, or higher, for example Masters or PhD in a relevant field.
 * Demonstrable ILS knowledge and experience within the UK Defence sector, ideally with the UK Royal Navy.
 * Knowledge of standards for supportability and related specifications.
 * Experience of In‑Service Support of Military equipment.
 * Is a sole UK National and holds, or be eligible to obtain, UK security clearance to SC level.
 * Able to travel within base country and overseas for short‑term working.
Desired Characteristics
 * Knowledge of military and/or defence standards.
 * Experience of S1000D (Tech Docs) and S2000M (Material Management).
 * Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
 * Chartered (or working towards) or equivalent with a recognised institution, with a proven record of continuous professional development.
 * Knowledge of classification rules, e.g. DNV, ABS, Lloyds for marine.
 * Ability to multi‑task to strict timescales, excellent communication skills, good report writing skills, and is well organised.
 * Hold a UK Driving Licence.
