We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer – Electrical Bias to deliver a reliable and efficient M&E maintenance service across two Mitie client sites, reporting into the Technical Supervisor.
1. A luxury retail office site, working closely with senior stakeholders and maintaining a highstandard, clientfocused service environment.
2. A warehouse/office site, supporting a broader operational setting with practical, fastpaced maintenance requirements and a strong emphasis on Health and Safety.
The role covers electrical, mechanical and general building duties, ensuring the safe and compliant operation of all plant, equipment and systems through planned, reactive and smallworks activities. The position requires strong customer service skills, as engineers work daily in areas occupied by senior stakeholders and must communicate clearly, respectfully and confidently.
You will be responsible for delivering electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, modifications and minor installations, while also supporting mechanical and basic fabric tasks when required. All work must follow company procedures, RAMS, safeisolation practices and statutory requirements, raising any hazards or system deficiencies that may impact safety, service delivery or compliance.
You will be expected to maintain high standards of workmanship, ensure accurate documentation, complete all required paperwork and update PDA/CAFM records in a timely manner. You will support KPI delivery, liaise with contractors and external suppliers where required, and help maintain a safe, wellmanaged working environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities
3. Deliver statutory and operational PPMs and reactive repairs, including safe isolation, fault finding and remedial works.
4. Lead emergency lighting testing, remedial works, minor installations and electrical safety tasks.
5. Support weekly fire alarm testing, sprinkler bell tests and assist with detection system fault resolution.
6. Provide electrical input for office moves, small works and power adjustments.
7. Participate in general building tasks (basic plumbing, fabric support, minor handyman tasks, etc) when required.
8. Maintain accurate PDA/CAFM records and follow safety procedures, including Lock Out / Tag Out and Permit to Work.
9. Manage and escort contractors on site, ensuring safe systems of work, inductions and permit processes are followed.
10. Participate in on call rota and attend out of hours calls as required
11. Attend additional weekend works as required by business needs
12. Undertake all necessary training in a timely manner to meet role requirements.
13. Travel between sites when required to attend emergency tasks, with travel covered under company expenses.
Requirements & Qualifications
14. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
15. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
16. Strong commercial electrical maintenance experience (3 years+)
17. Ability to work independently as the site's electrical lead
18. Confident with PDA use, record keeping and reporting
19. Physically capable with safe manualhandling competency
20. Working at Height / PASMA certification (or willingness to train)

23. Fire systems, VESDA and detection familiarity
24. IPAF certification
25. Basic mechanical or HVAC knowledge
26. L8 Awareness
