Senior Solutions Architect
This is a chance to lead the technology heartbeat of one of the UK’s biggest names in consumer services. With revenues approaching £700m and a presence that spans hundreds of sites nationwide, they’re already the second largest player in their market, but they’re not stopping there.
A newly created Senior Solutions Architect role working closely with the Director of Technology, your work will directly shape how technology enables the business to scale, standardise, and innovate.
Reporting to the CTO, this is a key role in shaping enterprise-wide solution design, architecture governance and technology strategy across major transformation programmes, acquisitions and business critical change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design scalable, secure and cost-effective technology solutions
* Produce Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and architecture artefacts
* Define APIs, integrations, data flows and architectural patterns
* Ensure alignment with architecture standards, governance and cloud strategy
* Provide architectural leadership across transformation and change projects
* Support acquisition activity including technical due diligence and integration planning
* Evaluate third-party/vendor solutions from both technical and commercial perspectives
* Collaborate across Infrastructure, Development, Data, Security and Change teams
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a Solution Architect/Senior Solution Architect role
* Strong understanding of application architecture, integrations and cloud/SaaS solutions
* Experience producing and presenting solution designs within governance forums
* Knowledge of APIs, event-driven architecture and architecture best practices
* Experience working across complex enterprise environments
* Exposure to TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* M&A integration or due diligence experience desirable
