Role – What You’ll Be Doing
* Handling a varied caseload of commercial disputes including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, professional negligence and regulatory matters.
* Managing your own files with appropriate supervision and support from senior fee earners.
* Conducting legal research, drafting complex legal documents and preparing case strategies.
* Representing clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships across diverse industry sectors.
* Contributing to business development initiatives and thought leadership activities.
* Mentoring junior team members and supporting their professional development.
The matters you’ll work on span contractual disputes, insolvency litigation, fraud claims, partnership disputes, construction disputes and regulatory investigations.
Qualifications – Essential Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor with 2‑5 years PQE in commercial disputes / litigation.
* Strong academic background with excellent legal research and drafting skills.
* Proven experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrable experience in commercial litigation ideally with exposure to High Court proceedings.
* Excellent client care skills with the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
* Strong commercial awareness and business development mindset.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst managing competing priorities.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with alternative dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration).
* Exposure to multi‑jurisdictional disputes.
* Knowledge of specific sectors such as financial services, energy or construction.
* Experience with electronic disclosure platforms and case management systems.
