Peaple Talent have partnered exclusively with a high-growth digital business who are investing heavily in the future of their data, insight and AI capability as they continue to scale.
They are now looking for a Director of Data to join their Senior Leadership Team in a role that will shape how data and AI support commercial growth, customer experience, operational efficiency and business-wide decision making. This is a genuinely high-impact leadership position with the opportunity to define strategy, influence at C-Suite level and lead a multi-year transformation agenda across data, analytics and AI.
This is not a role focused purely on reporting or platform ownership. It is a broad strategic leadership mandate, bringing together Data Science and Data Engineering under one roadmap, with responsibility for ensuring the business is set up to use data more effectively, move towards more predictive decision making and unlock meaningful value from AI.
Key areas of focus will include:
* Defining and leading the business-wide data and AI strategy aligned to long-term growth plans
* Partnering with senior stakeholders across commercial, revenue, marketing, product, technology, finance and operations
* Identifying high-impact opportunities for AI across personalisation, pricing, automation and decision support
* Leading the central data function across data engineering, analytics, reporting and data science
* Driving improvements in data governance, quality, trusted metrics and reporting standards
* Building a modern data capability that delivers measurable commercial and operational value
Their environment includes a modern cloud-based data stack with technologies such as Snowflake, Azure and Fabric, although this is not about finding someone with a perfect tool match. What matters far more is experience leading modern data environments, delivering value from data at scale and understanding how to connect platform, insight and AI capability back to commercial outcomes.
They are also a certified B-Corp business, reflecting a genuine commitment to sustainable growth, strong values and a people-first culture.
Exposure to AI or machine learning initiatives, data governance, business intelligence environments and modern cloud platforms will be highly beneficial, as will experience in digital, marketplace, travel or eCommerce-led businesses.
