Shift pattern: rotational long day shift pattern 07:30‑20:15 on days, 20:15‑07:30 on nights.
The Directorate of Forensic Mental Health and Learning Disabilities provides inpatient care in both medium and low secure settings. The service provides a safe, secure and therapeutic environment for patients with a focus on risk assessment and reduction, rehabilitation and discharge planning for return to the community.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the provision of specialist nursing care and treatment for individuals who have a mental disorder or learning disability and have demonstrated serious offending behaviour or present a significant risk to themselves or others.
* Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to provide care through a patient‑focused approach within a safe and secure environment, underpinned by risk assessment and risk management to maximise the individual’s rehabilitation potential.
