Position
Senior Youth Worker – Fixed Term Contract (23 months)
Salary: £38,575 – £41,755 – JNC 22‑25; Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.
Working hours: 36.5 hours per week.
About the Role
Birmingham Youth Service is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Youth Worker to lead delivery at the Young Futures Hub, a flagship youth‑led space that supports young people to thrive, feel safe and access positive future pathways. The role is a key leadership position, supporting the Government’s new Youth Strategy for young people aged 10–18 (up to 25 for SEND) to improve wellbeing and progress positively.
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day management and delivery of high‑quality, inclusive and innovative youth work.
* Build strong relationships with young people.
* Supervise and develop staff.
Qualifications & experience
* Recognised JNC youth work qualification.
* Significant front‑line youth work experience.
* Experience supervising staff.
* Strong safeguarding knowledge.
* Flexible working, including evenings and weekends.
