Are you passionate about animal care and education? DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Animal Management Technician Instructor to support the delivery of high-quality practical learning experiences for our students. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with learners and staff to ensure the smooth running of workshops and specialist teaching areas.
You’ll play a key part in maintaining equipment and facilities, supporting curriculum delivery, and helping students achieve their goals in a safe and engaging learning environment.
Actual Salary: £15,216.55 - £15,977.23 per annum
Working Pattern: Wednesday - Thursday (8:30am - 5:00pm) Friday (8:30 - 4:00pm) / 21.5 hours in a week
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
2. Recent experience working in the animal or land-based industry
3. Ability to plan and prepare teaching resources
4. Ability to carry out routine and planned maintenance of equipment
5. Strong communication skills and a willingness to acquire new skills
Key Responsibilities
6. Supervise learners in practical sessions and workshops
7. Provide guidance and support to learners throughout their course
8. Maintain equipment and specialist areas, including safety inspections and stock control
9. Assist with curriculum development and marketing activities
10. Support purchasing of supplies and services for the department
11. Demonstrate practical techniques and ensure health and safety compliance
12. Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality assurance processes
