Overview
We are seeking to recruit an Administrator to support within The Directorate. This position is temporary until 10/10/2027.
You will provide an effective, efficient, compliant and customer focused support service with a particular responsibility for programmes of study. The Administrator role will be part of the Operations Administration team to create a culture of ongoing improvement.
Responsibilities
* Support the Directorate’s work in providing academic skills development, work-related, online and lifelong learning, and lead on the University’s Access and Participation Plan (APP).
* Ensure the University has a high quality and sustainable educational portfolio, delivering excellent student outcomes, and aligning with the University curriculum framework.
* Support teaching related activities (UK and international) to deliver against the University’s KPIs and regulatory compliance.
* Assist with cross-institutional activities such as continuous monitoring and improvement (CMI) and curriculum review; contribute to enhancing student outcome metrics and responses to surveys (e.g., National Student Survey, Postgraduate Teaching Experience Survey, and Graduate Outcomes Survey).
* Play a key role in developing, enhancing and evaluating the impact of University activities that support the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
* Work with academic faculties and the Student Journey Directorate to deliver the University’s Student Success Strategy and provide an integrated suite of professional and administration services to meet the Directorate’s vision and mission.
Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to A-level standard or equivalent; demonstrated experience as an administrator who has serviced cross-departmental committees, used SITs and e-Vision or a similar student management system, dealt with financial data and produced financial reports.
* Demonstrable experience of working within stipulated regulations and procedures; able to work under pressure and to pre-set deadlines.
* Ability to work without direct supervision, demonstrate initiative, tact and confidentiality, and possess high levels of communication skills and literacy.
Reporting and Working Arrangements
You will report to the Head of Operations. Evening working and travel between campuses may be required.
