SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Atherton)

Daily Rate: £90 - £100 per day
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a primary school in Atherton who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 5 with complex additional needs, helping them to access structured, supported learning.
The successful candidate will be patient, proactive and confident in supporting pupils with additional needs within a primary school setting.
Key responsibilities:
* Providing consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs
* Supporting the pupil’s learning, engagement and emotional regulation
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
* Adapting learning activities where necessary to meet individual needs
* Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
The ideal candidate will:
* Have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly complex needs
* Be calm, resilient and nurturing in their approach
* Be confident working on a 1:1 basis
* Have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff
* Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
