Then we have an opportunity for you Main purpose of the job: You will support our specialist Human Rights & Claims Against Public Authorities team by assisting solicitors with a wide range of civil litigation cases. You will work with vulnerable clients, handle sensitive issues, prepare representations, undertake legal research, and help progress complex cases efficiently and to a high professional standard. This role offers hands‑on experience across a broad range of public authority and human rights matters, including claims arising from unlawful detention, failures by public bodies, breaches of human rights, and other civil liberties‑related casework. Key responsibilities: Attending and advising clients under supervision Preparing written representations and assessments of cases Assisting fee earners with all aspects of case progression, including: Undertaking legal research Preparing instructions to counsel Arranging and attending conferences Collating and reviewing evidence Liaising with clients, experts, third‑party professionals, colleagues and the Legal Aid Agency Preparing and submitting Legal Aid applications, including collating merits and means evidence Preparing Court applications and pleadings Ensuring compliance with client care requirements and internal case management processes Completing delegated tasks within agreed timescales Carrying out administrative duties where required What makes this role great?
