Service Development Manager / Commissioning Manager (Learning
Disabilities)
National role – home based with travel
This is a newly created opportunity to join a successful, established
learning disabilities care provider as Commissioning Manager, to drive
the growth of the business through new service developments. It is a
great opportunity for an experienced operational manager (Service
Manager or Registered Manager) looking to move in a more strategic
direction, or someone who has solid experience of new service
development looking for a new challenge.
You will be working with the Regional Managers and Director of Business
Development on several projects at any one time. You will plan and
project manage new services, which might be ground-up launches or
acquisitions from other providers. Your relationship building skills and
knowledge of sector best practice will mean you will build excellent
relationships with all the key stakeholders, including commissioners and
other internal and external parties. They have both supported living and
residential services for adults with learning disabilities and complex
care needs, and you will working in all areas of the business.
As well as overseeing the referral and assessment process for new
services, critically you will be able to plan and project manage the
mobilisation of the services, ensuring all the necessary systems,
processes and procedures are in place. You will be working in
conjunction with other functions such as L&D to ensure staff training
plans are ready, and planning the recruitment of new teams and managers
for the services.
