Are you an experienced and motivated Learning Assistant looking to support pupils in achieving their full potential?
GSL Education are seeking Level 3 Learning Assistants to work across primary, secondary, and specialist schools in Stockton-on-Tees. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide focused support to pupils with a range of learning, behavioural, and additional needs.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Learning Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. You will help deliver tailored learning activities, provide 1:1 or small group support, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils
* Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities
* Support pupils with learning, behavioural, or additional needs
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor pupil progress
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
* Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning, or equivalent experience
* Experience supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
* Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
* Ability to motivate and support pupils of varying abilities
* Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
