PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £40,200 - £45,200 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
BBC Radio Cambridgeshire is looking for a creative Community Producer who can deliver inspiring content to our audience. We have a diverse audience from the science and technology hub of Cambridge, the growing city of Peterborough and the rural Fen towns. We're looking for someone who is great at enabling people in these communities to tell their stories. You'll also help us plan unique community campaigns that help people realise the BBC is for them.

You'll have excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to manage people and establish new relationships. You will need extensive knowledge of the communities we serve and lead efforts to reach groups and organisations, making them feel supported, respected and celebrated.
Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Leading the stations community engagement, project and event management and forging new partnerships.
* Leading teams in delivering impactful content that speaks to our underserved audiences.
* Managing the Station's apprentices
* Managing the Make a Difference Awards and other major station events and projects
Your Skills And Experience
You'll need an extensive knowledge of the communities in Cambridgeshire, with lots of ideas about how we can work with organisations and groups to highlight their work and to set up campaigns which will make an impact on air and in the community.
We're looking for someone with great editorial judgement, who can spot a story and turn it into creative radio and digital content. You'll need experience of project and event management and be able to see an idea through from conception to delivery. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to establish new relationships are a must. You'll have significant journalism and radio programming experience.
Essential Criteria
* Strong Editorial Judgement and significant journalism and programming experience
* Experience working and delivering content in a multi-platform way
* Ability to lead and inspire people
* Ability to come up with ambitious ideas, projects and campaigns and deliver from concept to completion
* Resilience and the ability to work reactively under pressure, with a proven ability to judge audience need and react to feedback
Desired But Not Required
* Previous experience managing projects
* Past examples of managing people and relationships
* Experience of delivering digital content
* Well versed in Editorial and Compliance Policies and know who to call on when you need advice
