We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and all the way to the customer door - meaning we have careers that cover a whole range of functions. We have major processing sites across England and an agricultural network of over 350 farms, spanning from North Yorkshire to the South Coast and Wales.

About The Role:

As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our processes across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Production Scheduler to join our Planning team, based at our site in Caistor, North Lincolnshire.

The role is mostly office based with some factory requirements. Core working hours are Tuesday - Saturday 06:00 - 15:00.

What will you be doing as a Scheduler at Avara?

As a Scheduler you’ll take part in the daily scheduling of the production lines and the materials required for product assembly. We operate in a fast moving, high volume and frequently changing environment where there is a significant amount of incoming data from various sources requiring the ability to analyse, process, make decisions and communicate effectively.

What will your key responsibilities as a Scheduler include?


* Creating and maintaining a daily scheduling process for 8 production lines across 2 species.
* Acting as the key link between planning and production to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.
* Working closely with planning and logistics teams at other Avara sites to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
* Reacting to unexpected events in a calm manner, escalating potential variances in a timely manner.
* Optimising and balancing production lines for best efficiency.
* Having a commercially minded focus on minimising waste and efficient raw material usage.
* Tracking of actual performance data against plan to ensure corrections can be implemented where needed.
* Using performance data to continuously improve use of labour and raw materials.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

* Excellent communication skills.
* The ability to prioritise and act accordingly.
* A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
* A high standard of IT skills and advanced excel knowledge.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* An understanding of manufacturing, ideally food production, environments.
