Primary HLTA (SEN Experience)

Location: Ashington

Start Date: ASAP/September 2024

GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and proactive Primary HLTA (SEN Experience) to work in primary schools in Ashington .

Job Summary: As a Primary HLTA (SEN Experience), you will be responsible for working closely with class teachers to deliver targeted support and interventions for students with SEN. You will assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, provide one-on-one support, and help create an inclusive learning environment. Your expertise and experience with SEN will be invaluable in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons and interventions for students with SEN.

- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, tailored to their individual needs.

- Implement effective strategies to support students with a range of SEN, including behavioural, emotional, and learning difficulties.

- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting support as necessary.

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.

- Work with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Primary HLTA with a focus on SEN.

- Strong understanding of SEN and experience in implementing effective support strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.

- Proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students with diverse needs.

- Relevant qualifications and training in SEN support.
