Quantity Surveyor
Location: South of England, Central West & London Regions (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 + Package
The Opportunity
We're recruiting multiple Quantity Surveyors to join a growing commercial team delivering major infrastructure and engineering projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value programmes within a regulated environment, supporting the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects. The role offers a flexible working arrangement, with occasional travel required for meetings across the South of England.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for supporting the commercial management of projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring robust cost control, contract administration and commercial governance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing commercial and contractual aspects of construction and engineering projects
- Administering and managing NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
- Supporting change management and compensation event processes
- Preparing and reviewing cost reports, forecasts and commercial performance data
- Undertaking cost analysis and programme evaluations
- Supporting procurement and supply chain management activities
- Identifying, managing and mitigating commercial risks
- Maintaining accurate commercial records, filing systems and project documentation
- Producing reports and presenting commercial information to stakeholders
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships across multiple project teams
- Supporting the delivery of projects in line with contractual and commercial objectives
About You
We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who can demonstrate:
Essential
- Experience working within construction, engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract experience
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships quickly across multiple teams
- Commercial awareness and understanding of supply chain management principles
- Strong analytical skills with experience using spreadsheets for cost analysis and reporting
- Experience preparing commercial reports and presenting information clearly
- Strong organisational skills, including document control and record management
Desirable
- Experience working under FIDIC contracts
- Understanding of Schedule of Cost Components and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) approaches
- Experience in contract and risk management within a construction environment
- Utilities, power, energy, water, gas or other regulated infrastructure sector experience
- Knowledge of electricity transmission or wider energy infrastructure projects
- Estimating experience
