Job Title: Production/FLT Operator
Location: Winsford, Cheshire (CW7)
Salary: from Starting salary £29,000 up to £35,000 + (DOE)
Hrs: Monday - Friday rotating 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
On behalf of our client - a well-established manufacturer of mineral-based products with a strong focus on quality and sustainability - we are recruiting for a hands-on Production/FLT Operator to join their team at their site in Cheshire.
As the Production/FLT Operator your key responsibilities are:
1. Operate and monitor plant equipment to ensure consistent and efficient production processes.
2. Load and unload tankers in accordance with site safety protocols.
3. Conduct material testing and sampling to maintain quality standards.
4. Record process parameters accurately and maintain up-to-date production records.
5. Fill and remove bulk bags (FIBC/"big bags") safely and efficiently.
6. Ensure packaging and labelling of both intermediate and final products meet the required specifications.
7. Follow all site procedures for product quarantine, emergency responses, and health & safety.
8. Work collaboratively as part of a multi-skilled team, rotating duties where required.
The successful Production/FLT Operator will have :
9. At least 2 years' experience in a process, warehouse or manufacturing environment
10. Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited)
11. Previous experience with powder or mineral-based materials is desirable.
12. Comfortable working with operational documentation and adhering to quality standards.
13. IOSH Working Safely certification is an advantage, but training can be provided.
