We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who have an interest in starting a career in healthcare and would like to gain highly sought after NHS experience in an Acute Hospital setting. We are seeking HCAs who can work part time, 30 hours per week.
Battle Day Unit is a Medical Infusion day care unit led by nurses. It cares for patients with chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis who need regular treatment to manage their disease.
The unit operates from 08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Shifts start from 8 to 18 hours.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will work closely with Registered Practitioners to deliver fundamental patient care, including assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and mobility. Previous experience is desirable but not essential; successful applicants will receive a comprehensive induction.
The role of the HCA is to meet service users' needs and assist the team in maintaining high standards of care. We seek candidates with a compassionate approach, good communication skills, flexibility, and enthusiasm for team work.
