Product Category Executive (Junior Buyer)
Nisbets Limited are currently recruiting for a Product Category Executive (Junior Buyer) to join our Commercial Buying team in Avonmouth and support the performance of one or more of our Own Brand product categories across global markets.
This role will be based at our Avonmouth office, with flexibility to work from home as part of a hybrid working pattern following a period of training.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the management of assigned product categories, contributing to new product introductions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our brands remain competitive, compliant, and commercially successful.
You will work closely with global sourcing teams, quality control, marketing, and inventory teams to deliver a world-class customer experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and commercially aware individual looking to develop their career in buying and product management.
Key Accountabilities
* Support the management of assigned product categories, including sales, margin, range, and competitiveness.
* Assist with New Product Introductions (NPIs), liaising with global sourcing teams and suppliers.
* Monitor and respond to product queries via category inboxes and intranet feedback.
* Collaborate with internal departments including Quality Control, Web, Media, Pricing, and Inventory.
* Identify and lead small change initiatives and process improvements.
* Support category and Own Brand projects across the UK and Group.
Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
* Customer-focused with a logical and proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to analyse data and understand market trends.
* Self-motivated and keen to support change and continuous improvement.
* Experience in buying or product management is desirable but not essential.
