Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fast Track Fee Earner (Bike) - Non MOJ to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional service. As a Fast Track Fee Earner, you will be responsible for managing a caseload efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for a high-volume caseload of RTA pre and post litigated none portal claims, following Minster Law best practise, in order to progress your claims through to settlement or transfer to litigation.
2. Ownership of the client relationship ensuring that the right outcome is achieved and the client’s claim is optimized.
3. Ability to deal with complex liability disputes involving motorcycles, and denials of liability with minimal supervision.
4. Assess quantum to include reviewing medical reports and researching and obtaining relevant case law for complex multi-site injuries.
5. Drafting schedules of special damages and assessing suitable awards for compensation for pain, suffering and loss of amenity, and other general damages.
6. Negotiate with third parties to ensure we receive the best settlement figures for our clients in a proactive and timely manner, identify litigation opportunities where appropriate.
7. Drafting Court proceedings, dealing with direction questionnaires, adhering to court directions and timescales, preparing relevant documents for disclosure, dealing with telephone hearings, submitting evidence and instructing Counsel/other appropriate experts as required.
Requirements
8. Previous experience of managing your own caseload of RTA pre-litigated claims.
9. Good understanding of the CPR and litigation processes
10. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
11. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
12. Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
13. Tactically astute and an excellent negotiator
14. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
15. A proactive approach to learning and professional development is highly desirable.
