About The Role: This is a fixed term contract, starting from Mid-March 2026 until Mid-November 2026. You will be given a minimum of 5 hours per week, however as per your availability, we can offer, part-time or full-time availability. In this role you will take on daily responsibilities for leading security officers across Thorpe Park. You will ensure that staff maintain excellent standards of health & safety and security, which is the number one priority at the park: whilst taking both a customer and employee focused approach to work. When required, you’ll be ready to assist in security incidents and escalations. Main responsibilities: Responsibility for undertaking the role of Security Shift Leader. Expectation to take on projects delegated by Security Management. Accurately completing all documentation relating to team members, incidents and other governance as required. Achieve and maintain competence in all relevant skills and knowledge and actively strive to upkeep and grow your skillset. Undertaking and completing all required in-house training and maintaining competency. Perform any other duties that may be reasonably requested of you in line with your skills, training and qualifications. Initial and Ongoing training of Security Officers First point of call for Security team members on a daily basis responsible for escalating to higher management when necessary Key criteria to be considered for this role: Extensive experience working within the security industry Supervisory experience is preferred SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and under direction from Line Manager. Able to remain calm and function under pressure in challenging situations. Ability to deal with sensitive, unpredictable and emotionally challenging and diverse situations. Excellent communication skills: liaison, negotiation, advocacy.
