Job Overview:
As Holiday Camp Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and orchestrating the operations of our exciting children's multisport holiday camps. This position is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and organized individual to contribute to the success of our business and make a lasting impact on the children we coach. The ideal candidates will have a passion for sports and physical education, coupled with a minimum of 3 years' experience working with children. This role requires a dynamic individual who can inspire and motivate children to participate in and enjoy sports.
We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule who can commit to working throughout all school holidays to join our fun and energetic team of coaches
- Please note, we offer half and full day camps
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and coordinate logistics for holiday camps, including scheduling, activity planning, and staff management.
* Handle challenging situations, create strong relationships with venue owners and build a reputable service that parents and children return to.
* Monitor and evaluate camp activities to maintain high standards and continually enhance the overall camp experience.
* Design and implement creative, age-appropriate sports curricula aligned with the Values of Little Rackets– because learning should be as fun as playing
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during activities.
* Maintain and organize sports equipment and resources.
* Help promote our camps to schools, nurseries and parents.
* Help assist the coaches to deliver a fun and engaging sports programme.
The successful candidate will receive the relevant managerial training as well as coaching to get the full understanding of everything that we offer.
Essential Requirements:
* 3 years experience working with children
* A full Enhanced DBS is essential
* Fun, energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about working with young children.
* Reliable and hard-working – as a company, we rely heavily on our staff to help drive the business. We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, professional and punctual. We pride ourselves in having long lasting coaches.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage resources effectively.
* Enthusiastic with a high level of initiative and responsibility.
* Dedicated to fostering a love for physical activity and skill development in young minds.
* A passion for aiding in the development of young children, bringing joy to young hearts through activities such as tennis, rugby and football, and be part of a team that turns sports into an adventure
* Proven experience organising or directing children's programmes or sports camps.
* Strong administrative and leadership skills, as well as the ability to effectively multitask.
* Whether it's children, parents, or fellow staff, excellent communication skills are essential.
* While first aid and CPR certification are desirable, a safety mindset is non-negotiable.
