Accounting Manager -Leeds Based/Hybrid.\n \n About the role:\n Our client, a successful and growing Chartered Accountants and Business Advisory Service, are looking to recruit an experienced Accounting Manager (Client Services) to join their team based in Leeds.\n They deliver first-class service to their clients and contribute to the sector as a whole while undertaking a variety of work types for their clients including; accounts preparation, auditing services, taxation compliance, outsourcing solutions, book-keeping, payroll and consultancy & general advice.\n \n Accounting Manager - Key Responsibilities:\n The role of Accounting Manager (Client Services) will have varied disciplines for a number of their key clients, including reviewing and preparing annual accounts and supervising and mentoring the team members in order to meet the client's needs. The role will also entail involvement with practice and workflow management for the wider team.\n We anticipate the role to be split 80% productive (working on key client portfolios) and 20% internal (managing workflow of whole team of 3-4 people, managing billing and work in progress and developing the team).\n The ideal candidate will have an exploratory approach to working in order to identify and solve problems efficiently and be passionate about developing and supporting their people.\n You will be required to report to and work with a director of the service line.\n \n About you:\n \nACCA or ACA fully qualified \nHave a solid accounting experience obtained within practice \nKnowledge of accounts preparation for incorporated and unincorporated clients \nExperience working with IRIS, Xero and Sage would be preferential, but not essential \nHave strong management, communication and organisational skills \nHave experience of managing and controlling workflows in a practice environment \nBe able to confidently work alone but also be a team player \nHave excellent time management \nHave the ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and respond promptly to requests \nBe proficient in Outlook and Word \nExperience in Microsoft Excel to an advanced level Accounting Manager - Main duties:\n \nManaging a portfolio of clients comprising incorporated businesses, although experience of unincorporated businesses and individuals would be advantageous \nResponsibility for all compliance matters for clients - annual accounts and corporation tax returns \nPersonal tax planning for individuals \nResponsibility for maintaining WIP and managing team KPI's \nReviewing work performed by other team members and assisting with staff training \nBeing the main relationship contact for clients \nPromotion of the Accounts & Outsourcing team internally and externally - with clients, professional contacts and potential clients \nPlanning and organising workflow within the department \nIdentifying cross servicing opportunities and business development \n This is a Full time, permanent role, 37.5 Hours p/w, Mon - Fri - 9am- 5pm.\n Based Leeds - Hybrid\n Salary: c£50,000
