Join to apply for the Finance Analyst role at SSP UK & Ireland.
Working within a wider finance team the role will be primarily responsible for assisting with the financial accounting and forecasting of key expenditure lines for the UK&I business and reporting into the Finance Manager – OSM and Payroll.
Responsibilities
* Processing month end journals and reviewing actual P&L performance against forecast. This will include timely posting of accruals and prepayments and providing clear commentary on key P&L variances against forecast.
* Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts ensuring their accuracy and completeness. Investigating any variances and highlighting to Finance Manager.
* Assist in the completion of documentation for internal and external audits.
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process for Overhead expenditure.
* Respond to P&L queries from other departments and wider finance team.
* Production of periodic and ad-hoc reports that are easily understood for non-finance users.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in data and assumptions.
* Recommend ways to improve reporting and analysis.
* Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team.

Essential
* 3+ years accounting experience
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
* Proactive and able to take initiative
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Accustomed to working to tight deadline
Desirable
* Experience in using SAP ERP System
* AAT or equivalent qualification
